Ordering. Merchandise purchased through this Website may not be purchased or used for any purpose that is unlawful, misleading or deceptive. For security reasons and to prevent fraud, orders for Merchandise placed through this Website will only be accepted by Horse Smart International Ltd. if the name and address to which the card is to be billed corresponds to the name and address that is registered with the purchaser's credit card provider. If the information does not correspond, your order will be declined by Horse Smart International Ltd. even though the transaction may have been pre-authorized by your bank. If this happens, the dollar amount of the order may not be available to You for other use until it is credited back to your account, which may take between three to five business days.

General Return and Cancellation Policies

Return Policy

Our Customer Service determines eligibility for refunds and exchanges once customers have contacted us and explained their reason for return. Returning packages without prior approval from Customer Service will halt or delay your return.

All returned items must be in brand-new condition, unused and with original tags and packaging. Requests to return items due to quality issues, damage during shipping, color/style/size must be accompanied by photos or other evidence that clearly shows the problem with the item received. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee on all items returned for other reasons.

For all returns, please email sales@horsesmart.ca and submit a return request to Customer Service to provide you with a return authorization, once you have received a return authorization, we will provide you with a merchandise return form and return authorization number.

If we shipped you the wrong item: You have the option of 1) exchanging it for the correct item, or 2) returning it for a full refund. Customers must confirm their eligibility for an exchange or return with Customer Service before sending items back.

If we shipped you a defective item: You are eligible for a refund or exchange.

If you aren’t satisfied with your purchase: You may be eligible for a return or exchange depending on your situation and the type of item involved.

Cancellation Policy

Many orders can be cancelled at no charge up until shipment. When your order ships, you’ll receive an email entitled "Shipment Notification for order#XXXXXXX with Horsesmart.CA." Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled and will be treated as returns.

Exceptions: Cancellations for a full refund are only available within the following time frames for certain product categories:

* Within 48 hours of placing all orders. For orders cancelled beyond 48 hours but within 7 days, a 50% restocking fee will apply.

Beyond these time limits, restocking/processing fees will apply to cancellations in these categories even if the order has not shipped.

Step 1

Once a merchandise return form is completed, please fill out the Return/Exchange form that will be provided to you by email, completely and enclose it with the items you are returning, along with your Return number (that was provided to you with your merchandise return form) on the outside of the box. The original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Place your items and completed Return/Exchange form in a secure package removing or covering any labels.

IMPORTANT: All packages that are returned without return number displayed on the box will be refused.

Orders are Subject To Horse Smart International Ltd. . Horse Smart International Ltd.  strives to ensure that adequate security measures are in place to protect against loss, theft and unauthorized access, disclosure, use or modification of your information. All orders for Merchandise placed through this Website are subject to Horse Smart International Ltd. approval. Horse Smart International Ltd. has the right to hold your order for a security review or to decline your order, in its sole discretion. In no event shall Horse Smart International Ltd. be liable for any loss arising out of lost, stolen or otherwise misdirected Merchandise, or for orders placed without proper authorization.

Returns. Unless stated otherwise in the terms of purchase for specific Merchandise, all sales are final and no returns, exchange, credits or refunds will be given. If returns are allowed and you return merchandise purchased from Horse Smart International Ltd. with your Gift Card, the amount of the purchase as shown on a store receipt will be deposited back to your Gift Card.
